“Singer, saxophonist, songwriter Jay Patten has spent his life performing, writing and recording music. He's a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Crystal Gayle's long time music director, former vocalist-guitarist with Buddy DeFranco and the new Glenn Miller Orchestra and leader of the Jay Patten Band. He is also a respected studio musician who has played on recordings for Johnny Cash, Delbert McClinton, Leon Russell and many more.
Jay is the first artist to appear at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and is featured in the documentary film "Bluebird." He has seven well received albums including his CBS/Sony project "Black Hat and Saxophone and his 2018 release "Street Scene."
"Surfside Slummin'" is his fourth single release in the Tropical Americana genre. It's a groovin track that's sure to bring a smile.
