Album Notes
Soto has taken over two years to produce what he now considers his "crowning achievement", the culmination of his life's work as a musician, composer and producer. This eclectic masterpiece has blurred the lines between multiple genres including Rock, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Fusion, Latin, World Music and Cinema. It's an epic journey to be experienced from beginning to end that will transport into distant lands without leaving the comfort of your home.

Three years ago Soto set out to produce an album that would be boundless as well as timeless, emancipating him from musical boundaries of the past that seemed to limit his creativity. Veritas is the uninhibited remedy that has freed his musical flare to new levels. One would be hard-pressed to define his project by any one style or genre.

All songs were composed, recorded and produced by Soto, performing roughly 90% of the album. Bassist, Mario Mendivil and drummers, Goran Rista and Phil Robertson lent their musical prowess as well. Orchestral arrangements for the horns and woodwinds were created by Jeremy Kurn.

This album also marks the unveiling of Soto's Catholic apostolate, DeSoto Ministries. It's a unique blend of music and "veritas" or "truth" with the mission of giving solid Catholic Christian answers to tough questions on theology and doctrines on faith and morals. DeSoto Ministries is dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through the teachings of the original Christian church, the Catholic Church. Jay's music is filled with energy and emotion. Every time I have listened to Jay's music, whatever stress I have is gone and find myself captivated by every movement of the music. This is really amazing!
