ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
You’d be doing yourself a favor by going to see Jay Young perform live. Based out of the Philadelphia region Young is one of the most sought-after singer/songwriters around. Riding the waves of his debut CD, “The Road Goes Other Places,” Jay has sold out countless venues with his immense fan base and incredible musical talent.
Since the May 2004 release of his debut CD the first pressing has been completely sold-out. Making an impressive radio presence coupled by an extensive east coast tour Jay has been grabbing the attention of fans everywhere. He provides a brilliant combination of contemplative lyrics, captivating vocals, and sheer mastery of his guitar.
Jay had such an incredible turnout for his January 2005 performance at the famous Grape Street Pub in Philadelphia, he was asked back for an encore performance to open up for the astounding guitar virtuoso Larry Burnett from the 70’s super group “Firefall.”
Drawing on influences from The Allman Brothers Band and Bob Dylan, Young adds a new and unique dimension to acoustic music. This is clearly evident in his studio CD and also his energizing live performances. Ask any of the 5000+ fans who signed up for membership on Jay’s mailing list…I’m sure they’d agree!
Jay released a hit single from his debut CD. The single, titled “Color of Love,” is receiving overwhelming airplay on WVIA 88.9 FM and 102.3 The Mountain radio stations. The single has also made numerous spots on several different radio stations throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Boston, Atlanta, and even as far as Mexico and several internet radio stations! This is also one of Jay’s most requested songs at his live shows.
If you’re thinking that Jay performs only original songs…there is a surprise in store for you. At his live shows he has request lists available for fans. In all, fans can choose from over 200 cover songs and original songs.
Since being signed by Third Patch Records the music industry has taken Jay Young very seriously. Neil Kennedy, Director of A&R for Third Patch Records, quoted that Jay is “truly the next big thing in music! Jay Young got our attention with his excellent music and immense fan base. One of the best singer/songwriters I've heard in a long time!"
