ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The members of the Jazzentinean Project come together into a musical journey that explores the possibilities of combining Jazz and North Argentinean folklore (genres Zamba, Chacarera and Carnavalito). Through this process they create a unique sound.
Although the folkloric element is strong throughout the whole album, the listener always has a direct link to Jazz: improvised sections, instrumentation and the use of Jazz forms such as blues and rhythm changes.
The title of this album stands for an imaginary line connecting the cities of Chalkis (Greece), Matera (Italy), Madrid (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal) and Salta (Argentina), which are the places the musicians originally come from.
