from Poland.

The musicians who form Jazz Trio have been playing together since July, 2002. They have diverse musical experiences and connections with many outstanding figures of jazz music.
Wojtek Puszek, the pianist and the composer, made his debut at the turn of the 1970s and the 1980s. He was awarded the honourable mention at the Jazz Juniors Festival and his group Seven Up won the II prize. Wojtek Puszek played with Janusz Muniak (two records), Tie Break and In Tradition. He also performed at Jazz Jamboree and the Umbria Festival in Perugia with such stars like Freddie Hubbard and Joe Newman and Monty Waters.
Arek Skolik, the percussionist, a composer and an arranger is well-known for the collaboration with the group Grall, with Stanislaw Soyka, Tymon Tymanski and Joachim Mencel. He played concerts in Canada, Denmark and Germany.
Romek Twarozek, a graduate of the Jazz Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, played with Jerzy Malek Quintet. They won the I prize at the Jazz Juniors Festival in 1997.
The compositions included in this record are like an extremely pleasant journey through the shades of moods created mainly by the pianist. They bring to mind the moods of Keith Jarrett and the subtleties of Flanagan and Wynton Kelly. The compositions of Wojtek Puszek (1-6) enchant with the delightful shades of dynamics and with the impressive proficiency of the pianist. The music tells clearly and gently about his sensitivity to the world. The double bass and the percussion intuitively participate in this colourful landscape of moods.
The contemplative "A Breeze of the Past", the poetic, ballad-style but a little more swinging "The Evening Muse", the very personal and reflective "All Souls' Day" which moves deeply with its melodic narration, the energetic "Escapade", the optimistic "Sunday" or "Stopped Time" composed by Arek Skolik - all the compositions will certainly give a lot of satisfaction to the listeners of this record.
