Album Notes
Jazz X

Greetings music lovers, the following is a brief bio about the group Jazz X.

The group was formed in 2005 as kind of a “jazz experiment” recording project, hence the name “Jazz X”. Bassist Dan Foster, was auditioning guitarists for a new recording & live project to be based on material he wrote years earlier. He found what he refers to as the “perfect match” for this project in Brian Wohlschlegel. Foster states: “Not only is Brian an outstanding guitarist and music composer, but he also had a nice little home recording studio setup, which I didn’t have. We reviewed each others songs and started recording soon after, but because of conflicting schedules we could only get together one day a week. We would squeeze in extra sessions whenever we had the opportunity and within just 3 months, we had enough material for a full length CD. We then started the mixdown process along with some final touches.”

Their first CD has been receiving an unbelievably positive reception. From music critics to record executives, people like what they are hearing.

Put away your old, boring jazz CD’s and get ready for the next generation of jazz excitement. 7 Cities Entertainer Magazine says “Jazz-X has arrived!! The music is compelling, fun & original, very cool. I haven’t been able to take it out of my CD player since I got hold of it, it just doesn’t get old! Jazz X creates a fusion of jazz, blues & rock to reach a fabulous result.”
