ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jeff Brownell has been playing music and composing for forty years until arriving to the Northwest and introduced to Native American Flutes . Jeff was brought into the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada in 1996 by the Smokey Sisters . Jeff has been involved with every aspect of the Tribe and especially involved in inspiring traditional ways and art forms within the Tribe . His music is original however a large influence from the Tribe has soaked into his being and is clearly expressed in his music . Songs have been used in Ceremonies and Dances across the West . Have come from Sacred Places as an appreciation to those places and are a gift to the world as a prayer . All music is original and came from his own experience as part Native American and an Artist of almost every media or medium . Jeff stayed out of the mainstream of music to be original that is reflected in all his art forms until after his twin Timothy Brownell was killed in a car accident in Florida . Jeff held back in his musical efforts to leave that spot for his twin until all that came to a a close and pressure from the other side started to come and push Jeff out there .Lead by the Great Spirit on a musical quest from Native Americans to Tibetan Lamas at Mt. Shasta to the Northwest and flutes the journey is ready to share . Songs with flutes are more great basin originated and tend to have the round dance theme .
