Album Notes
The idea of recording an album of duets with several different musical partners has long been in my mind. Duet playing with a compatible partner can produce some of the most satisfying results an improvising musician can experience. That was the case with Stuart, Peter, and Chris; at every point I felt that each of us knew when and how to support, follow, oppose, ignore, goad, or subvert his duet partner. I’m as happy with the results as with anything I’ve ever done.
