ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Inspired by the loss of his farm in 2010, Hundred Acres founder and songwriter Jeff Lane decided that music wasn’t something he could put off any longer, especially since it was time to start over again, and that it had to be more than anyone would have ever expected, especially since nobody knew he had been writing music for 20 years. On his 40th birthday in September 2011, Lane released the culmination of his work — the album “Where the Buffalo Roam” — at Hundred Acres’ first-ever gig. Since then, the band has been turning heads with its high-energy, old-time soul and alt-country sound. Hundred Acres members include Lane on vocals and guitar, Matthew Oakes on vocals, guitar and mandolin, Quentin Horton on lead guitar, vocals and mandolin, Johnny Nat Rasar on bass, and Brian Seiler on drums and percussion.
