ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From his early success as a founding member of the hit rock band Night Ranger (MCA Records, 16 million albums sold), Guitarist/Songwriter/Producer Jeff Watson has established himself as one of the world’s most revolutionary and technically gifted musicians.

Jeff’s recent accomplishments include guitar work and an appearance in the Oscar and Grammy nominated Disney film “Enchanted,” starring Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, Amy Adams, and Julie Andrews. He is currently putting the finishing touches on an upcoming solo album. A respected member of the professional music community, Jeff has served as a Governor with the Grammy’s National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences San Francisco chapter, and recently presented at the TEC Awards alongside greats such as Robert Plant.

The originator of the “8 Finger Technique” guitar fretboard tapping style, Jeff’s musical talent also made him a highly sought-after session player, contributing to records by a number of hit artists. A talented film composer, Jeff scored the full length motion picture Vertical Frontier narrated by Tom Brokaw. In the past, he composed music for the hit CBS Don Johnson TV series “Nash Bridges,” a show in which Jeff also appeared as an actor.

Jeff's solo albums have been met with overwhelming critical acclaim. He also collaborated with rock legends Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne), Carmine Appice, and Aynsley Dunbar for three albums with the band Mothers Army (Universal Records).

Jeff's additional experience includes sessions/performances with:
Chris Issak, Sammy Hagar, Deep Purple, Steve Morse, Styx, Heart, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Pat Benatar, Steve Walsh (lead singer of Kansas), Boston, Bon Jovi, Richard Marx, John Mayer, Aerosmith, Allan Holdsworth, David Foster (Celine Dion, Michael Jackson), .38 Special, Narda Michael Walden (Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston), Don Johnson, Dave Jenkins (Pablo Cruz), Kevin Lima (Grammy and Academy Award nominated Director), Eric Martin, Steve Smith (Journey, Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani), Tesla, Walt Disney Films, Boeing Aircraft, Jerry Harrison (Tom Tom Club, No Doubt), Brenda Chapman (Academy Award Winner), Marc Russo (The Yellowjackets, Kenny Loggins), Marvin McFadden (Huey Lewis & The News, Santana), Roger Linn, The Blue Angels (Navy flight team), Bruce Cohn (The Doobie Brothers, Bruce Hornsby), Ted Nugent, David Lauser (Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth) Tony McAlpine, Pixar, Alice Shaw (Sony recording artist), Sandy Griffith (Elton John, Aretha Franklin), Desiree’ Goyette (The Grateful Dead, Ray Charles), Ed Bogas and many more...

Best 99 cents I've spent!!!
Jeff really shows off his musical abilities and versatility in this track. From the Les Paul/Brent Mason inspired runs in the clean sections to the shredding solos that Jeff is known for, this track just rocks all the way around. After so many years of not releasing anything, I hope this just a taste of what is to come. His playing has matured so much since the Night Ranger/Lone Ranger days. Great track and I can't wait to hear more.
