just another pop star from detroit

by jeff wave

Although this CD is a surprising departure from the previous all acoustic CD, this all electronic music CD (4 songs with vocals, 4 purely instrumental) is consistent with Jeff's quirky avant-pop sensibility.

Album Notes
Jeff Wave is a singer-songwriter/instrumentalist living and working in New York City."Just Another Pop Star From Detroit" is his fourth recording for the indie lable Zen Pop. The new CD released in February 2006 is an exclusively electronic oriented avant-pop recording comprising of various styles and moods; both instrumentals and more tradtionally structured songs with vocals. The lead song "Crazy In Tahiti" takes the listener on a journey to a far away land. "America Should Not Torture" is an instrumental song reflecting Wave's belief that sometimes "song lyrics are often inadequate in order to make an effective political statement" on a topic that has unfortunately become an important issue for the country. is the official website.

quirky indie pop
the lyrics aren't revolutinary or visionary, but each song conveys something about love and life that we all go through. the tunes are kinda catchy, too.
