ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jellyroll & Delicious Dish is a project featuring Bentz and May Kirby and Jenn McCallister. We started out as a cover band and expanded to playing original music. This is our first album. While we are folk and Americana based, we incorporate rock, country and other styles of music. We think you will find a number of interesting takes on here. We call it folkadelic because of our influences.

This album incorporates all of those influences into a cohesive effort. Some of our live music performances can be found at our local archive, Woodshed Archive and at Archive. A link to three of those is set forth below. The fist is a Woodshed performance from October 25, 2012. We were planning to record at that time, but on October 27, 2012, Bentz Kirby suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest and was clinically dead for 10 minutes. Fortunately an off duty paramedic with an AED came by and help resuscitate him. The second is the first performance after the SCA. The third link is to a show where we opened for the Mosier Brothers. We have also opened for RB Morris, Tom House and others.

We hope you will give us a listen and take a chance and buy our album. We think you will enjoy it.
