Raised By Wolves

by Jenee Halstead

With creative abandon, Raised By Wolves slams an old beat box into surf guitars, banjo, and ukulele; mixing a chorus of tenor guitars, handclaps, and synth bass, all while emptying the musical space to give attention to Halstead’s extraordinary voice.

great cd !
Awesome new release by one of my favorite singer-songwriters ! Great writing and production, beautiful voice.

...the wait was worth it!
Jenee stretches her voice and her music to new ground. Listen to her voice on "Garden of Love" her vocal sounds as if her whole body is resonating like a woodwind. Now compare that with her spare soulful track "Get Good With It" and you see her off in the cool dark nights where Joan Osbourne hangs out. I have followed Jenee's path since her first album and she never ceases to please me with songwriting and performance.

Great disc
What a fanastic piece of art. I'm so happy to have discovered her music. The title track is hauntingly beautiful. It is so well produced. I wish I wrote this music, period!
