Album Notes
"This album is somewhere between Julie Miller and Aimee Mann, with a little Mary Chapin Carpenter mixed in for good measure. Even as I type those names it's clear to me that none is a really good fit, as Ms. Haase is clearly doing her own thing here." -- No Depression Magazine (online)

"Jennifer Haase is a unique and gifted songwriter with the voice of an angel. I highly recommend her." -- Rosanne Cash

can't miss this!
I couldn't wait to get my CD after hearing some of the tracks. It was WELL worth the wait! From the moment the music starts, you can't help but get caught up in the lyrics and soon find your head and body start moving. Jennifer's style runs the gamut - quiet and sentimental, sultry and saucy, and just plain fun! Carefully put together, sounding wonderful, and with heart, you can't miss with this! Buy for yourself, and buy one to share. You will want to pass this along!

Another perfect album by Jennifer Haase! This album truly runs the gambit of emotions, while being lyrically and musically exquisite. The guest vocals by Rosanne Cash, Stephen Kellogg, Patty Ocfemia and Gretchen Witt add that extra special bit of wonderful to their respective songs. With each listening, you'll find more and more to love about Jennifer and her music, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. What are you waiting for? Get it already!

Done with heart
Jennifer’s style is currently categorized as folk-pop. It has also been called country, indie, and bluesy. All of these are true. Her songs are overall not heavy with hooks; they drip with heart.

In print, vocal descriptors are unfulfilling. So I acquiesce with these comparative notes: sweeter than Jewel, sassier than Mary Chapin Carpenter, softer than Joan Osborne, rougher than Sarah McLaughlin, catchy like Shawn Colvin, and as lyrically clever as Dar Williams.
My iPod dropped Jennifer’s seductive ballad “Beautiful Man” perfectly between Fiona Apple and Adele.

Still, while comparisons can be complimentary, Jennifer let her own voice find its path. Plus she pulled from her bag of tricks to involve guest vocalist Rosanne Cash in harmony on the beautifully sparse “Oneonta.”

This morning I woke up with “New Pink Sweater” dancing through my mind, “I’m bold like a dare in my ready to wear,” a sassy anthem that is bluesy, fun, and a good hum to begin the day.

Jennifer stripped her soul naked for this release, baring her heart and craft through truth-in-poetry lyrics and a vocal style that calls with both innocence and seduction. No More Invitations does, in fact, invite you in for a long, comfortable stay.

A touching and talented blend of whimsy & wisdom.
No More Invitations can rightfully take its place amongst the great folk releases of our time. This release will fit right in with your collection like a well worn pair of jeans you never want to part with.

She's done it again ....
I really wanted at least 20 more stars! I've been waiting for this CD for what seems like forever! I downloaded it and immedately started listening and from about 25 seconds into the very first song, I was hooked all over again. Her voice and the lyrics ... you just can't help but be moved. You run the scope of emotions with this CD - you'll be laughing along in some places, chair dancing in some, crying in others. You definately shouldn't miss this one - or anything Jennifer Haase for that matter. You will not be sorry - she's simply perfect!!

Jennifer Haase has arrived
At a time in the music business when repeat performances are few and far between, Jennifer Haase's second release, No More Invitations, not only matches the substance and wonderful creativity of her debut release Listening Chair; it surpasses it. She proves yet again her expertise in creating a mood, putting her finger on our alter egos and our passions with her laser-like lyrics, and then setting it to music in a way that makes us feel alive. Tap your feet or contemplate over a glass of wine; the songs will take you on a seamless journey of yearning and lost love that has its serious side but which can also be triumphant, uplifting, and sometimes irreverent. Complex and catchy harmonies throughout, and a pop appeal so infectious it literally snaps.

From Start to Finish This is a Gem
I first heard about this CD when Roseanne Cash mentioned she was doing background vocals...that was all I needed to take a listen. The title track instantly captivated me and I pre-ordered the CD expecting more of the same. I was not disappointed.
At first Jennifer's voice reminded me of Jewel but then I heard an innocence and purity reminiscent of Nanci Griffith. Combine that with some wonderful songwriting and excellent production and you have a CD that is terrific from start to finish.
From the haunting "Oneonta" to the heartbreaking "3,000" miles to the beautiful closer "Follows Me Still" this is a collection that you will listen to time and time again and find new depths every time. I love it.
