I'm All Wrong for You Baby

by Jennifer Lyn

"I'm All Wrong for You Baby EP signals the arrival of a new blues-rock guitar slinger in town. Strat-toting Lyn plays with a burning intensity, stinging the strings and singing with a rarified growl on these five originals." -Vintage Guitar Magazine

Album Notes
From the plains of North Dakota, USA, Blues-Rock artist Jennifer Lyn is gaining attention from a rapidly growing regional, national, and international fan base for her original music. Her songs are being described with words such as “raw, powerful, and soulful”. Fans describe her voice as a mix of Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt, which Jennifer finds humbling as both have been her influences.

Since picking up lead guitar in 2013, Jennifer has progressed at an astonishingly quick rate to emerge on the music scene as a budding young guitarist coupled with her hauntingly soulful vocals.

With the release of her debut self-released album ‘I’m All Wrong for You Baby’ on October 8, 2016, she proved she has much to share and she’s here to stay. Backed by Kevin Holm (Drums) and Darren King (Bass), the group showcases their ability to meld various genres and create vintage sounds with a whole lot of soul while keeping with the traditional power trio format. Produced by international recording artist Richard Torrance (Shelter/Capitol Records), and mixed/mastered by Grammy nominated engineer David Swenson (Makoche Studios), the album was released and immediately gained traction within the Blues and Blues-Rock communities.

Jennifer strives to positively represent both independent artists and the Blues-Rock genre alike. She looks to expand her audience to capture and entertain those who appreciate guitar driven music and she also enjoys the idea of taking her fans along for the ride as she progresses as an artist. She hopes to increase awareness and nurture the love people have for the Blues genre. She plans to continue her path as a recording artist and entertaining audiences with her dynamic live performances.

Blues-Rock at its Best!
Just got my new CD in the mail, on time and in perfect condition (as always), and I am stoked! Starting with a drummer who plays like a well-oiled machine gunner laying down covering fire, a bass player building a musical foundation with the precision of a brain surgeon, and electric guitar playing sharp enough to laser through steel, it's the songwriting that really shines here: gutsy, hard-hitting bluesy rock 'n' roll that tells the story straight-up and to the point. Jessica Lyn has earned her chops the hard way, and it shows in her well-crafted lyrics. With this CD, she's earned the right to stomp the same stages as Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge, while developing her own unique sound and style. There's no filler on this EP-it's all meat, well-done and at the same time, oh-so rare in this era of auto-tune and pop phoniness. This is the real thing, and if you like to rock, this lady will stop your clock and teach it a new beat.
