Bio:

Formed in 2011, Jennifer MacNeil & Waterville Garage (Jack Shanahan and Kevin Connelly) record lyrical adult contemporary music grounded in guitar, piano, percussion and well-blended harmonies.

Singer/Songwriter Jennifer (Grandin) MacNeil developed her emotion-rich, lyrical vocal style as a source of entertainment while growing up in the small town of Northborough, MA. When she wasn’t imitating her parents’ records, she was either performing in the school jazz choir, on a stage in a local theater production, or sitting on a piano bench writing a song. She continued her love for performing at the University of New Hampshire through a minor in theater, but with graduation her shift moved solely to her career in marketing. It wasn’t until she had children, and began singing to them, that she realized how much she’d missed music. Her desire to sing publicly again in an open mic /acoustic guitar setting led her to weekly guitar lessons, a renewed love for songwriting, and her friendships with Jack and Kevin.

Jack Shanahan (guitar, percussion and vocals) is a Berklee College of Music schooled musician whose musical talents and performances have been awarded on numerous occasions, including six time recognition by Billboard Magazine for songwriting. Jack has produced and released three previous albums under the name Jack & Present Company. His second (“Triple”) was made with John Ryan, a major record producer who has worked with Styx and Santana. He is currently working on his fourth album with Kevin Connelly. He is the owner of, and an instructor at, Jack’s Guitar Garage in Northborough, MA.

Kevin Connelly (piano, bass guitar and percussion) has numerous years of experience in the music business teaching music and touring with bands - the most widely known being the Clayton Cummings Band and The Search Party. For more than 12 years, he has been engineering and producing countless albums at his Waterville Sound and Recording Studio in North Grafton, MA.

At Least Once a Year Lyrics:

Kick off my shoes
And sit on down
Another year has gone by
And I’m back
To where I come
To find myself as the stars fill the sky

BRIDGE:
It’s here, I feel safe… It’s warm, it’s late and now my thoughts are clear

CHORUS:
And I remember, I do
Why I fell in love with you
And I remember, while sitting here,
All the plans I still plan to do
All my reasons why
Even ‘bout the last time I cried
I think about it at least once a year

Breathe in
That sweet fresh air
The grass is soft between my toes
It’s really quiet
It’s very dark
And in the stillness my memories grow

CHORUS:
And I remember, I really do,
Why I fell in love with you
And I remember, while sitting here,
All the plans I still plan to do
All my reasons why
Even ‘bout the last time I cried
I think about it at least once a year

INSTRUMENTAL

The stars fill up the sky
And the crickets sing me a song
I close my eyes
It’s time to go
But before I do, I’ll hum along
mmmmmm
