Live at Monk's

by Jennifer Scott Trio

A tasteful and varied selection of Jennifer Scott's most requested tunes. A few of the Band's favorites, too. Professionally recorded "live" performance is a great "feel good" CD and has all the integrity of a true jazz performance.

Quotes:

"...this voice immediately arrestes my hearing and said 'wake up, listen up, sit down, and listen to this lady 'til she's finished singing.' A voice made to sing jazz...Jennifer Scott definitely has great time and a very flexible voice..." Katie Mallik, (CBC Jazzbeat)

A new dimension to an already impressive talent.
From the moment I learned about this CD, I absolutely knew I had to have it. Being a fan of her studio CDs, I was sure the performances would be excellent, and I'd get more of that beautiful rich and accurately-intoned voice of Scott's. But the chance to hear what her live performances were like was exciting. Believe me, I was not disappointed ... in fact, I was pleased to learn that, along with her band, she accompanies herself on piano! The voice is just as bang-on in pitch and warm and inviting as I've come to expect, and the performance is comfortable and friendly ... but we also get to hear a new dimension to Scott with her piano playing which is, in short, excellent. Scott seems to have it all in spades when it comes to talent for singing and performing jazz ... and I can tell you that even those people who think they can't listen to jazz stop and listen to Scott. I highly recommend this one to anyone.
