Album Notes
Bill Milkowski of Jazz Times calls her “an accomplished composer-arranger and first-rate soloist, with some bold playing on tenor, soprano and flute. Highly recommended.”

“...verdant with melody, sparkling with textures, apulse with back-beats...”
Howard Mandel, Future Jazz, Down Beat, JazzTimes

Led by saxophonist/flautist/composer Jenny Hill, Liquid Horn presents a rich sampling of jazz, Brazilian and latin grooves and the funky side of Brooklyn.
Jenny has released four Cds, Liquid Horn, in 1998, Planet Sax, in 2003, The Chill Factor, in 2008., and her newest CD, Groove Garden, which is a musical salute to California and Brazil. Her band, Liquid Horn, has performed at the Blue Note jazz club in NYC, 55 Bar in NYC, Brooklyn’s Ethical Cultural Society, the Whitney Museum, and at the CIVEBRA summer music program in Brasilia, Brazil.
Other career activities include touring and recording for the last 10 years with the Easy Star All-Stars, a reggae collective from NYC that became world famous with its debut album, Dub Side of the Moon, which is a reggae reinvention of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Jenny has toured all over the United Kingdom with the Easy Star All-Stars, even appearing 3 times in the 2009 Glastonbury Festival, as well as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Thailand, Russia, Egypt, Japan, Italy, and many other places.
Also, Jenny has been to Brazil four times and studied the beautiful and complex musical history of various regions including Rio de Janeiro, and the North East (Pernambuco). These influences appear in her music.
