ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Joseph Gelinek (1758-1823) schrieb etwa 1000 Kompositionen.

Joseph Gelinek (1758-1823) wrote about 1000 compositions. Especially his variations were very popular in his days. Music publishers in Paris hired contemporary composers to write "in the style of Gelinek", because the high society of that time wanted to just hear music by Gelinek.
German pianist Jens Barnieck (www.jensbarnieck.de) has performed the variations in many concerts.
