ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This recording features my first 5 Comptines. «Comptine» is French for fairy tale, or nursery rhyme. Yann Tierson, who composed the music for the film Amélie, wrote several comptines, and it is from his music that I took the inspiration—a rhyming pattern with different melodies over top.

Tracks 9-13 are folk music tracks for the harp
9. A Virgen, que de Deus Madre - Cantiga 322, 13th c. Spanish (To the Virgen, who is the Mother of God)
10. Blar Sliabh an t-Siorradh - Scottish
11. Ruairí Ó Mórdha - Irish
12. Spagnoletta - attributed to Michael Praetorius
13. The Lone Harper - Lucy MacNeil
