Album Notes
I started learning the piano at the age of 7. My father used to play the piano after I had gone to bed and I used to love hearing the music as I gradually drifted off to sleep. My parents have always encouraged me and indeed challenged me to develop and stretch myself to learn a piece that looked too hard. I have been influenced by some of my favourite composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart and Debussy. I had lessons until I was 17,reaching Grade 7 and give a lot of credit to my piano teacher who not only taught me to play but gave me a love and a passion for the piano. During my 20's and 30's I kept up with the piano, playing for pleasure and relaxation. It wasn't until my mid 40's that I felt a strong desire to compose and my wife Heidi has been a huge encouragement to me. My father has a lovely grand piano and has been a great help by recording my compositions. I have named my debut album 'Open Door' because I believe God has opened a door for me and given me the gift and the inspiration that I hope will give the listener much pleasure.

The thing i love most about this track is the way i can picture a story as im listening to it. I also really like the way the song seems to progress like a pathway.

Awesome music i love it!
