ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“Jerry Sereda is a country rocker from Winnipeg, Manitoba making his mark on the Canadian Country Music scene” (APTN, 2008). Jerry has shared the stage with Shane Yellowbird, Donny Parenteau, Jason Blaine, and many others while playing shows throughout Canada, and the USA.

Having played venues ranging from acoustic performances in small lounges, to larger settings such as Dauphin Countryfest, and Wefest Jerry continues to expand his fan base with his upbeat rhythms and commanding stage presence.

Jerry’s performances engage audiences with a mix of original music, mixed with a gamut of cover tunes ranging from classic country western, to modern country rock.

Drawing inspiration from classic country artists like Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash to modern artists such as Keith Urban, and Dierks Bentley, Jerry has loved to entertain and sing to audiences for as long as he can remember. This love of singing inspired Jerry to pick up the guitar in 2002 and begin the arduous task of learning how to play.

Jerry Sereda began writing songs in 2003 and has a style of writing that combines the descriptive storytelling of classic country with the upbeat rhythms of modern country music. Jerry’s style of singing has been compared to the “styles of country rockers Keith Urban and Tim McGraw” (Grassroots News, June 26, 2007)

Jerry had his public debut at the Centennial Concert Hall for the NCI Country Jam in September of 2006. Since this public debut Jerry has taken any opportunity to perform in front of an audience.

Jerry is a proud member of the Métis community who has grown up in the peaceful settings of the Duck Mountains where he learned a lot about the land and the wilderness. These experiences combined with his exposure to larger urban centers has given Jerry much of his inspiration for writing songs that invoke emotional images in the minds of audiences young and old.

"Campground Cowboy"
Few things are more enjoyable than a musician that goes straight to your heart. Jerry Sereda`s CD “Campground Cowboy” is one of that category. He has a classic style with a modern touch, you will love the authentic of his warm voice, and you will believe every word in his songs, he is a great storyteller. Songs like: “Simple life”, “If you were my girl” and “Cowboy and city girl”, are all songs you will like to listen too. These are how good country music supposes to sound. The CD belongs in all good collections!
