ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Seven new songs by Jesse Sublett, who founded the seminal Austin rock band The Skunks in 1978 and establish Austin as the Live Music Capital of the World. Jesse is also the author of over a dozen books, fiction and nonfiction. Recorded at Dale Watson's Ameripolitan Studio with Cris Burns engineering, this CD features Jesse on vocals, Fender bass, upright bass, and guitar. Kim Simpson played guitars, percussion, piano, and harmony vocals. Bill Mansell played drums. Jon Dee Graham played lap steel on "Mockingbird." Thank you Cris Burns, you are awesome. Kim Simpson saved the day, always had the right idea. Bill Mansell is the Charlie Watts of this project. Thanks to Lois Richwine, my adorable wife, for inspiring the parts that shine. Thanks Rob "Bassman" Hacker for putting his luthier talents to good use on my instruments. For more info: www.jessesublett.com. Use the contact form to contact Jesse.
