ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album is largely improvised. The title cut "Seven Thousand Wars" (you can hear the full track here) came from a dream of walking through a mine field. Master drummer Akeem Ayanniyi adds his Djembe, Talking Drum, and Ashiko, a master drummer from Nigeria, on "Blind Man's Bluff" and "Beautiful." He speaks the intro in Yoruba on "Beautiful", with Jesse improvising a spoken word piece into a a full tilt call to the ancestors. Ubuntu
