Album Notes
Jess Graham is a singer, poet, songwriter and guitarist.

Playing music was pretty impossible to avoid, since her parents are both professional musicians, and sent her to choir as soon as she could hold a hymnbook. She started songwriting and playing guitar in high school, but kept it mostly to herself. It was during a year abroad in Germany that friends nagged her until she finally gave in and played in public. It went surprisingly well, garnering her a local following in Tuebingen, her university town.

Returning from abroad, Jess paid her dues on the open mic circuit in Toronto, Canada. She released a CD in 2005 and started gigging regularly, sometimes solo, sometimes with a backing duo or trio. She started to play out-of-town gigs and regional festivals in 2006.

Jess is newly arrived in Huntington, West Virginia - love does sometimes move mountains, in this case moving a body across the continent. She's looking forward to a new chapter in Appalachia and will be spending the summer in the studio.
