ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Love in the End Times is my first solo recording project, comprising twelve original compositions. It's been an interesting time - endings and new beginnings in life and love, amidst political and cultural upheaval. Music has been both my refuge and my celebration during this time, and a lot of songs have come out of it! My favorites are collected together in this album.

I started performing solo a few years ago at The Alcove, the tiniest bar in Evanston, IL. I played every Saturday night for a year, sitting in the window with my guitar, and writing new songs most every week. This album recreates some of the warmth of those intimate performances, as well as taking advantage of the studio setting to enrich the songs with additional instrumental voices.

The album was recorded at Kernel Sound Emporium in Chicago with the musical and engineering mastery of Steve Dawson.

"Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats." - Voltaire.
