ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 2016 Jewel Box joined the North American music producer Rogers Masson to record its first album.
Rogers is known by his work with artists such: Marilyn Manson, Vintage Trouble, Dave "The Snake" Sabo (Skid Row), Chris Daughtry, The Crickets, among others.

The band intends to renovate the music scene without losing the link to the roots of Rock.
The songs refer directly to their biggest musical influences, like: The Beatles, Queen, The Who, The Beach Boys, Bee Gees, Elton John, among others.
The main features of its compositions are the usage of vocal harmonies, well elaborated melodies and arrangements. The usage of vintage instruments also guarantee the focus of the band’s concept.
The aim is to show to everybody that the good Rock music is still alive, and that "The old is new again".

Comments from artists and producers:

Shel Talmy (The Who, The Kinks, David Bowie): "I like your songs. Hope you get your backing, and from what I heard, you should get it."

Stuart Epps (Elton John, George Harrison, Led Zeppelin, Oasis): "I've listened to some of the tracks. Yes, there are some good songs there."

Gordon Raphael (The Strokes): "Well done. At first I was afrain it was going to be too pop for me, but it has nice qualities like The Beatles in the melody, harmonies and instruments."

Rogers Masson (Vintage Trouble, Marilyn Manson, Dave "The Snake" Sabo (Skid Row), Chris Daughtry): "I love Tonight (It Must Be)!!! Reminds me of a modern take on The Who and their earlier songs, as well as a taste of The Beatles. Crazy cool! I get a lot of stuff sent to me, and it's rarely this good! It is so refreshing to hear great harmonies again! Killer band name as well! People should hear your music."

Sérgio Britto (Titãs): "Very nice, I liked it a lot – Your music have clear influences of Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson, two genius!”

Aramis Barros (Tom Jobim, Rita Lee, Jorge Benjor, Oswaldo Montenegro, Paulo Ricardo): “Very good!! The Old is New Again is so me. Tonight it is also great. I Really liked it. Congratulations."

Junior Lanne (Rick Bonadio, Mamonas Assassinas, Charlie Brown Jr, Simonal): "The Old Is New Again is a beautiful song! It’s always good to listen to good music. Cool! That is really cool!"

Vermelho (14 Bis): "It is good to hear a vocal harmonie well sung."
