ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
AWAKENING is Jim Bajor's debut album coming on the scene in 1987 and being nominated for the New-Age acoustic Grammy Award in that same year. This CD was totally Jim's own effort being recorded by his own label and promoted by himself. It did very well and was on the market for two years. After many years of requests from friends and fans Jim has re-released this CD in May of 2004. This music comes straight from Jim's heart expressing his deepest emotions and feelings after a long periiod of alcoholism and experienceing a spiritual AWAKENING, hence AWAKENING. This CD was followed by GENTLE IMAGES, SOMEWHERE IN TIME and CHRISTMAS MEMORIES all available from CD Baby.
Jim Bajor was born some 40 years ago in Detroit Michigan where he currently resides. He studied piano privately for 25 years and also attended Wayne State University. His music was used in the PBS special on "The Sinking Of The Edmund Fitzgerald". It was also used by PBS in a documentary on the HOSPICE movement. Jim Bajor continues to record and play concerts and select engagements. All of his recordings are available right here on CD Baby. Jim Bajor encourages your emails and makes every effort to answer each and every one. We are proud to once again present "AWAKENING".

Awesome Solo Piano
This is the finest solo piano CD I have ever heard. It reminds me of George Winston but it has more feeling. From almost melancholic to powerful piano this is a CD you must have if you are a piano afficianodo. I can't reccommend it highly enough.

Great travel music!!
We discovered this cassette several years ago at a Minneasota state park gift shop. It's great to listen to while driving and reminds me of many wonderful vacations every time I listen to it. The cassette wore out long ago so I was delighted to find it online at cdbaby.com! I ordered two cds and plan to order more for gifts.

Found this CD by accident
The great thing about CD Baby is you never know what you are going to find here. I was looking through the new releases and found this piano gem. All the tunes are very catchy and I use the music to study by. I find it very relaxing and conducive to being great background music. It has become one of my favorite piano CD's.

The perfect CD to have in the Delivery Room
We got Jim's Awakenings cassette tape in 1988 and were thrilled to see it had been re-released on CD. I immediately ordered 3 to give to friends because it is the best music ever recorded. We listened to the melodic tunes throughout the birth of our daughter last year and actually wore our cassette out after 15 years. We plan to give it to every family member at Christmas this year. You'll love it.
