Album Notes
This artist has been writing for the past 20 years in an eclectic alternative folk style of music. Though Jim Barile isn't pop, his music tends to be very reflective with many romantic mystical spiritual undertones that can be intrinsically felt all through his music, "If You Get Close You Can Hear".
In view of writing, this artist states that the most important thing in this world is to take time to be still to be able to recognize the little wonders in life that at times can be only recognized in our dislocated moments in our everyday.

I cant get the songs out of my head...
A good CD is like a good meal you are never left wanting. Well Jim Barile brings a 12 course meal to the table with "If you get close you can hear".
I literally couldn't get the songs out of my head. I kept singing the melodies and choruses over and over.
We all know the sad state of music in todays world this album is like a breath of fresh air.

Whispers in the Wind............
If You Get Close You Can Hear is a masterpiece of artistic collaboration woven together by singer/songwriter Jim Barile. Each song transports you deeper into a place we can all recognize as our Southern Eden--our fragile souls.
This album doesn't do justice in capturing the fullness of Jim. Live, he is infinite charm and purity--and while the music eventually comes to an end, it follows you home.........whispering in the wind.

Jim is a cool guy all around.

An Artist Matured
I've known Jim all of my life and I have seen his music grow to what it is today. Jim has an uncanny ability to capture words, and emotions and set them into an ethereal experience. If you can take the wonders in the heart of a child and set that experience into music, then you have and understanding of Jim. Dislocated Moments is one of those songs that just brings me into my happy place.

Alicia Giglio-Losey

Soothing, sultry and hauntingly emotional. Enjoy with friends.
This soothing, romantic collection of Jim's writings are messages that touch listeners personally. Each song elicits emotions & visuals not only in the song itself but within one's own experiences and spirituality. The great combination of instruments...sultry sax, wispering melodic vocals, piano, etc. give a unique sound. Easy to enjoy with a good meal and good friends! Bon Appetite!
