Classic Rock style originals... insightful lyrics...
"Bound for Judah" is an album of original tunes written by Jim Bohn, recorded with the help of some of Milwaukee's most talented musicians and vocalists. Music and melodies that will transport you back to the 70's and 80's with a current twist. Hints of Hornsby and shades of Seger run throughout and some of the songs will feel like an old friend the first time you hear them. The lyrics have a depth and wisdom that come from decades of hard work and spiritual reflection on the twists and turns of our walk through this life.

My favorite is "Keep On Walkin'" which features Bohn on lead vocals. This is a driving, kind of swampy anthem that will get under your skin. It's a look back over a life well lived with still more to go....never give up...keep on walkin'. I've listened to this one 3x today. "God Does Not Turn His Face From Me" is another favorite. Quiet, intense ballad with a standout sax solo. Bohn's voice tells his own story perfectly. Mature with just the right amount of strength, grit and vulnerability.

Anyone familiar with the Milwaukee music scene will certainly know some of the musicians and vocalists appearing on this album: Warren Wiegratz, Kostia, Al Arber, Eric Hervey, Carmen Nickerson, Tracy Hanneman, Ellen Winters and Barb Stefan to name a few.

I highly recommend this CD~
