ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Majestic, ambient album of melancholy-tinged songs shot through with hope.

Has acoustic/vocal-driven soul the way David Gray, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, and Coldplay do.

Detroit-based singer-songwriter with band of subtle players.

Well-crafted, literate songs delivered with just the right amount of passion.

This terrific cd is one of the real finds this year
This is a wonderful cd by Jim Cecil and the Mercy Trio, an unexpected surprise. The songs are beautiful and reminiscent of early REM meets a softer Velvet Underground. All the songs are good, but Better's Best, Pepermints and Politics, and On Everyday are real standouts. This cd is an example of the great music that is out there today; hopefully radio will take notice and begin giving airtime to groups like this.
