ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the Irish experience through the centuries, comes a musical personality all its own. These are song/stories for the most part; some are familiar and perennial, some little heard, but well worth a listen. Jim Cope sings and plays on all the tracks on this venture into Irish music. Fiddle, mandolin, Octave mandolin, four and five string banjo, whistlin' in the dark, and mouth music make up this one man band. Singsonging stories of children, soldiers, moonshiners and 'pealers, star crossed lovers, sailors and emigrants; all told with love of the witty tongue of the Irish bard. Re-interpreted for a fresh listen.
