welcome to "The Very Best Of Jimmy Scott, Songwriter", an album that contains 21 of the best songs I have written and recorded over the last several years.

On this varied collection you will find songs that remember lost loved ones such as "On The Wings Of A Butterfly", "Dancing In Heaven" and "To Honor You" .. Love songs such as "Miss You (The Rhythm Of My Heart)”, "Tonight I’ll Sing For You” and “A Lullaby” …and also uptempo songs such as "Back When The Music Had Soul" and "My Rock 'n' Roll Dream" ...
Inspirational songs such as "If I Were Brave", "Choose Love" and "N'Joy" .. and last but not least, some touching songs for animal lovers such as "A Dog Is A Friend", "Old Grey Dog" and "The Cat Song" :)

Jimmy Scott is a British born songwriter whose songs have been recorded by many famous artists.
His song "Love Sneakin' Up On You", a hit for Bonnie Raitt, was nominated for a Grammy as Record of The Year.

Other artists who have recorded his songs include Chicago ("You're Not Alone"), Jeff Healey Band ("How Long Can A Man Be Strong"),
Amy Grant with Keb' Mo' ("Come Be With Me"), Lee Roy Parnell ("We All Get Lucky Sometimes"), Joe Cocker ("Letting Go") , Cher, Ray Charles,Sting and Joss Stone.

In 2009 returning to his roots as an acoustic based singer/songwriter he released the solo CD “A Songwriter’s Notebook”
featuring “Dancing In Heaven."
Other songs of his such as "All Because of You", "Miss You (the Rhythm of My Heart)" and "On the Wings of a Butterfly" have also become popular via the internet and YouTube.

Some of his other notable solo albums include "Little Love Songs/Strumology" ,"Tonight I'll Sing For You" and "For Our Lost, Loved Ones."
