Album Notes
Independent singer-songwriter Jim Pellinger has performed his rootsy pop-rock at colleges, clubs, and festivals from the upper midwest of the United States to Central America.

Along the way Jim has written songs for and appeared on Madison Square Garden TV’s “Yankees Scorecard” pregame show, and Fox Sports Net’s Minnesota Twins pregame show, which, in 2002, aired Jim's "Circle Me Bert" video, performed by the fictional "band" The Circleberts, featuring Bert Blyleven on tambourine. "Circle Me Bert" was featured by the Twins in a 10,000 CD giveaway to fans attending a game. In 2011 upon Bert's induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, "Circle Me Bert" was accepted into the permanent library at the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.

Jim’s latest full-length release is entitled Into The Blue. With song topics ranging from politics and religion (“god”) to life as a dog (“Roxygrrl”), Into The Blue covers a lot of ground both musically as well as lyrically. Life, death, love, politics and religion--it's all in there.

A true independent musician, Jim released Into The Blue on his own label, Door To Door Music, as he did with his previous releases, All Dressed Up And All Stressed Out (1996), Knives & Bleeding (1999). and Hello Hello (2002). Each release features songwriting that bears the mark of a variety of influences such as Lennon & McCartney, Bob Marley, Elvis Costello, Squeeze, even Hank Williams.

Jim's latest single, "Promise You (an election song)", is a tongue in cheek comment on political ads ripe for this election season. "I will promise you anything if you vote for me", Jim sings over the drums and guitars, and features an over the top spoken-word "political ad" that will sound familiar to anyone near a television before the coming election.
