Album Notes
From the award winning singer/songwriter/producer Jim Vilandre, "It's Love That Wins Me" is an amazing feet of album strength! This new album features 10 brand new songs hand crafted by Jim Vilandre himself. From the very first 3 seconds of the album, the title cut "It's Love That Wins Me" takes off like a rocket ship toward outerspace. The high velocity tune doesn't waste anytime to prove that Jim Vilandre is in it to win it! The album continues on with the upbeat track "Still That Kid" that is sure to be an anthem to anyone who has had a lifelong dream of making it in the music business or in whatever arena the listener chooses. The song continues with a true story entitled "See You Later, Not Goodbye". This is a real life story of the account of Jim's sister Shirley who has passed away from cancer, and her final moments as her sister and best friend "Shelly" sat so close by her side and Shirley encouraging Shelly that she was not afraid to die, but that this is "Just see you later, Not Goodbye". The next track "4 Hours To Freedom" is another anthem that is not only thought provoking but also a true to life story of Jim working in Nashville to see his dream come true and working double overtime. The song will thrill modern day country enthusiast who love Chris Young, because it sounds like a song that he would write and record. The next track "It Can Only Go Up From Here" is again another country rock anthem cheering on the underdog who is left with only 3.00 in the bank account. Another very true story about the struggle of trying to make it as an act in Nashville. Then the jet takes off again with "Nash-Vegas". This country anthem chronicles the two very real sides of Nashville meets Las Vegas. You will be enjoy the great tributes that this song pays to the legendary "Johnny Cash" and many more. The following track is entitled "Without A Voice". This song is melodically so strong and so uplifting even though it deals with a very difficult subject matter and that being the mistreatment of many around the globe who have suffered great losses and yet gives voice to those who sit in silence. The next track will be the biggest surprise "Can We Find A Common Ground". This track is so original, so on point and relevant to the state of world right now. Your ears will think you are listening to a brand new track from Justin Timberlake. Then the next track "Here Comes Heaven" is amazing divinely inspired song that was inspired by the true story of Jim Vilandre's niece Nichole. You see Nichole battled with cancer for 6 years and at the young age of 28 succumbed to the disease and went home to heaven. This song is so filled with hope and the promise of heaven for those who has placed their trust in Jesus. The album ends with an amazing tribute song to those who work with the less fortunate and sick "Healing Hands". The harmonies are very reminiscent of Rascal Flatts. From top to bottom this album gets 2 solid thumbs up! Run out and get this album to add to your music collection. By far the most amazing effort put forth by Jim Vilandre.
