Album Notes
ON JORDAN'S BANKS ~ the great hymns of Advent, redefined for the adventurous! This first CD in the Hymnancipation! series launches a project to rejuvenate the traditional hymns of the Church with new interpretations for the Digital Age. These improvisations for synthesizer are a mixed-bag cornucopia of musical genre, from Classical to New Age and everything in-between. "The tunes move me, the Spirit moves me and the music moves beyond me." John Michael McCluney has played keyboards as a church musician for 30+ years. He has a distinct passion for the hymns of the Church, combined with a unique ability to play outside of the box.
