ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The moving image inspires music. Some film music can be elevated into the purest art form. Although film music can have a reputation for being simple programmed music, I am convinced that among future classical compositions, there will be film scores.

My generation of film composers, who will always inspire me, include: John Barry, Elmer Bernstein, Georges Delerue, Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Herrmann, Maurice Jarre, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, and Miklos Rozsa.

Once in 1989, I attempted a performance of music to the 1923 Lon Chaney’s “Phantom of the Opera”. I want to advance the awareness of film composers, and dedicate this music to them.
