ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
This instrumental music was used as background music for the opening reception of a VIEW FINDERS Photo Exhibit: “The Art of Seeing”, curated and directed by photographer Bonita Chimes. This exhibit was held during the summer of 2013 at the Springville Center for the Arts in Springville, New York.

James N. Couvutsakis is a non-performing songwriter and a composer. He has been continuingly influenced by all styles of musical thought. Dylan, the Beatles, with a genuine affection for Classical, Jazz, Pop, and New Age. His special area of interest is Film Music Scores, and their composers. James Couvutsakis has written scripts for independent video productions, including "Alternative Programing" and "The East Kingdom". His sound design and incidental music experience has enhanced educational and documentary video projects.

An early music project was a film score for Lon Chaney's "Phantom of the Opera" (1925), composed in 1989 on a digital sampling keyboard (pipe organ). Available now on CD Baby and other music sites.

His part-time business, Digital Poster Art (www.DigitalPosterArt.com), successfully dealt with fine art reproduction services for over 10 years, and now contains some of his music.
