Enter you, Enter Love is an intimate and romantic journey into the warmth and gentleness of Brazilian bossa nova and classic American jazz standards.

The predominant mood is soft and seductive, incorporating Griffith's beautiful, swinging guitar and Newell's evocative, sensual vocals.

This is a versatile, classy duo with exquisite taste and a passionate, authentic understanding of the music they perform so elegantly.

Joan Griffith is known throughout the Midwest as a guitarist, bassist and composer.

She has appeared with Larry Coryell, Charlie Byrd and Shiela Jordan among many others, at the Women's Jazz Festival in Kansas City and on Garrison Keillor's radio show.

She heads the jazz department at the University of St. Thomas and instructs at the College of St. Catherine and throughout the Midwest.

Lucia Newell has sung internationally in night clubs and in concert from Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City to L.A. and her home base in Minneapolis/ St. Paul, MN.

She can be heard singing background vocals on recordings with Paula Abdul, Ben Sidran, Patti Austin, as well as on several national TV and radio jingles.

She also teaches, is known for her ability to sing in a wide range of styles and especially for her command of the Portuguese language.

"These Brazilian-oriented tunes are courageously spare dialogues between Griffith's acoustic guitar and Newell's delicate, minor-key vocals. The slower the tempo, the more luminous the mood...Newell's forte is the appearance of fragility...Griffith's understatement makes for empathetic support." - (Britt Robson, Minneapolis Star Tribune)

"Acoustic guitarist Griffith and singer Newell have put together a wonderfully surprising collection of love songs...that brings to mind steamy, moonlit tropical nights...But it is on their own songs that Griffith and Newell really shine... You do not listen to Enter You, Enter Love as much as you are seduced by it." - (Rob Voedisch, Sun Current)

"Just like my mood, the phone lines light up every time I put Joan and Lucia on the air." - (Craig Eichhorn, Radio Producer and Host, KBEM-FM)

great cooking music
My wife and I love to set the tone for a great dinner by playing Enter You, Enter Love. We play it as we cook up dinner in the kitchen. It puts us into a romantic mood and makes the food we create taste twice as good! We strongly recommend this CD :)
