Special thanks to my friends who inspired this music, Rebecca Casey, Joe Cragan, Anne Hall, Susan Jones, Marilu Theodore, and Margaret Young; my co-writer Anne Martin (Just For A Little While); my teachers at Swannanoa, Don Henry, Kathy Mattea, and Siobahn Quinn who helped me hone the songs and my performance; Thomm, Mark, Lynn, Steve, Karen and Lee who gave my music new life in the studio; and family and friends who “are never apart; they live in my heart”.

About Joan:
A self-described "old folkie from the sixties", Joan continues to write and expand her musical horizons. Progressing from simple singer/songwriter recordings of voice and guitar, her new CDs have been recorded in Nashville with some of the best musicians and sometimes sound more country than folk. Her current work is a departure from the educational music she wrote while a public educator and a return to what she calls "music for the soul". For over thirty years Joan taught, never teaching music but always using music to teach everything. She has written and produced music for numerous projects and organizations including The United States Environmental Protection Agency, The Royal Canadian Opera Company, Softball Canada, and the television series Transitions. After 34 years in public education, Joan retired and now continues to work with teachers and students, build with Habitat for Humanity, support Guitars For Vets, teach for Guitars In The Classroom, read, write, play and sing. When not in schools teaching teachers and students to use music across the curriculum, she can be found singing on the beach, at Singer/Songwriter in the round, and select venues. Bring It Around Again is her fifth CD since retiring in 2003.
