Album Notes
Joe Bouchard is a founding member of the world-famous band, Blue Öyster Cult. He was an active member of BOC for 16 years and he recorded 14 albums with the band for Columbia Records. As their bass player he also played keyboards and guitar from time to time and he wrote many songs for Blue Öyster Cult, including the very popular Astronomy which was covered by Metallica. Joe has nine gold and two platinum records to his credit.

In 1986 he retired from the Blue Oyster Cult and since then has dedicated much of his time to composing music and teaching privately. He has two music degrees, one from Ithaca College and a Masters in Music Composition from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford.
His highly acclaimed solo recording, Jukebox in My Head, was released in early 2009.
In July 2010 Joe performed for US Troops stationed in Iraq and Kuwait with the all-star classic rock band called Rock and Pop Masters.
His 2nd solo album Tales from the Island was released in 2012 to rave reviews. His third solo album is the EP New Solid Black, released in 2014, and contains the single Memorial Day, written by Joe's long time collaborator the artist John Elwood Cook.

He performs with several bands including Blue Coupe which features his brother Albert, another founding member of Blue Öyster Cult, and Alice Cooper founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Dennis Dunaway.
His latest album from Blue Coupe is called Million Miles More and includes a guitar solo by Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult and a lead vocal solo by Alice Cooper plus many other guest stars. It was released in May 2013.
Joe also performs with The X Brothers who Joe has been with for over 20 years. In 2012 The X Brothers released album of classic covers with a clothing theme called The Dedicated Followers of Fashion. Other X Brothers albums include Solid Citizens and Beyond the Valley of the X.
Joe is a author with Alfred Publishing, the world's leading publisher of educational books. Some of his book titles are Rock Guitar for Beginners, Beginning Rock Keyboards, and The Total Rock Keyboardist. His latest book is Teach Yourself to Play Rock Keyboards and will be released in 2015.

Joe continues to record new music and tour regularly in the United States, Canada, England and Europe.
