Joe Cartwright Presents The Best of Kansas CIty Jazz Volume 2 is a follow up recording to the critically acclaimed Volume 1.
All tracks are recorded live at two venues in Kansas City, Missouri; The Oak Bar at the InterContinental Kansas CIty at the Plaza Hotel and Jardine's Restaurant and Jazz Club. Featured artists include Dr. Wayne Goins on guitar, Ahmad Alaadeen on saxophone, Danny Embrey on guitar, Pamela Baskin-Watson on vocals, Kim Park on saxophone and flute, Tom DeMasters on guitar, Mike Metheny on trumpet, and Lester 'Duck' Warner on vocals. All featured artists are backed by the Joe Cartwright Trio with Tommy Ruskin and Ray DeMarchi on drums, and Gerald Spaits and Tyrone Clark on bass.
