ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
1." Its never too late" is a love song with a message to never give up on your dream. The verses are composed in a "chasse croisse" so that when the guitar chords go up, the voice goes down, and when the guitar chords go down, the vocals go up.

Its never too late, its never too late.
You say you're going down, say you're going down.
Before you go, lend me your ear, its never too late.

I heard you say I don't know about true love don't you know.
Now what you doing to do, yeah what you going to do?
I'm on my knees, please don't go.
Before you go turn around, one last look.

One last look into your eyes of blue, one last look before you go.
One last look into your eyes of blue, one last look before you go.

Wandering brook, wandering brook.
Its there you took my hand, there you took my hand.
Said that you loved me so, said that you loved me so.
And that you ain't never going to go, that you ain't never going to go.
I'm on my knees, please don't go. I'm on my knees please don't go.

Before you go, turn around, one last look.
its never too late, its never too late, its never too late.

2. "Broken dreams ( Gold tree star)" is a broken love song from Japan that describes four landscapes including tree monsters, cherry blossoms, stone bridges and gold tree stars. The song is a plea to come back and repair the broken love. In US we
see an old man in the moon, but in Japan, they see a rabbit (verse1). In verse 3, a cricket rings its bell whereas in US we think of a cricket chirping. In the last verse, gold tree star (translated as "kin moku sei" in Japanese) is really only a bush or
shrub, but has a wonderful fragrance that the flower emits only at night, implying that the flower only needs starlight to blossom.

Tree monster catch, rain clinging fast, limbs all in snow, moon rabbit glow.
Broken dreams, bring them back to me. Put them back together, then we'll see,
how love's supposed to be.

Cherry blossom fall, fly through the air, spinning all around, never touch the ground.
Broken dreams, bring them back to me. Put them back together, then we'll see,
how love's supposed to be.

Bridge all in stone, walking all alone, cricket rings its bell, rice harvest dell.
Broken dreams, bring them back to me. Put them back together, then we'll see,
how love's supposed to be.

Gold tree star, fragrance fro afar, waffs through the air summer evening fair.
Broken dreams, bring them back to me. Put them back together, then we'll see,
how love's supposed to be.

3. "Just between you and me" is a love song of 3 chord style that starts out "feeling small" but takes off to tropical white sand beaches, gets caught in a tree, and has a surprise a capella ending.

I stand here watching you all, driving by but you never call. Walking like you're off the wall,
it makes me feel real small.

Sitting thinking about you girl, sends my head off in a twirl. You know I cain't stand it girl,
come on we'll take on the whole world.

Its tree, just you, us two, in blue. Sing of love sing it soft,
sing to some distant land of sun, sea, you and sand.

Let me be your dog style man and I'll drive you as far as I can.
Then we'll see how strong you be, just between you and me.

Our love was like a kite in a tree, the breeze, the branches set us free,
then it was all open sea, sun sand, you and me.

Happiness is truth, truth is love, love is you.
Happiness is truth, truth is love, love is you.

Just thinking about you girl, sends my head off in a twirl. You know I cain't stand it girl,
come on we'll take on the whole world.
Just thinking about you girl, sends my head off in a twirl. You know I cain't stand it girl,
come on we'll take on the whole world.

4. "Ain't nobody" is a blues song with snippets taken from one of American ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax's books on Delta
Blues. A few of the opening arpeggio chords are taken from Black Ace's blues.

Ah.......
Ain't nobody, sing the blues. Ain't nobody, quite like you.
Stick to me honey like glue, you'll do.

Ah.......
Silver teardrop, heavenly blue, Mississippi moonlight, sweet tail Lou.
slow drag be hitting on you. Taboo.

Ah.......
Rooster crowing, 'fore the dawn. Rooster crowing, I'll be gone.
Old lady's sleeping, sleeping. I'm through.,

Ah......
Whistle blowing, lonesome blues. Whistle blowing, bayou blue.
Stockyard's a calling, what'll I do? You knew.

5. "Daddy done told me" is a conflict song between the singer and his/her parents. An allusion to eternal life is made by "daddy" "come judgement day".

Daddy done told me, son you ain't no good, then my daddy done told me,
there just ain't no good.

So I went to see my momma, she said listen here son, it ain't that you're no good.
You're just misunderstood.

So I went back to see my daddy, I said listen here pa, it ain't that I'm no good,
I'm just misunderstood.

Then my daddy done told me, son there ain't no way, that you ain't no good,
come judgement day, come judgement day.

Then I told my daddy, pa it just ain't true, coz there ain't nobody going to make me blue,
ain't nobody going to make me blue.

Then I told my daddy, pa, its time to go, down that valley, way down below, way down below.

6. "Chug'a lug'a" is a trucking song with all the whistles and bells about ice roads, drive time, getting home, Rocky
Mountains and Mississippi River.

Cruising on down, running with the flow, got this heavy load, time's a running slow.
Chug'a lug'a lug'a, Chug'a lug'a lou.

Drive time's ticking by, waiting here too long, got long way to go, see my home sweet home.
Chug'a lug'a lug'a, Chug'a lug'a lew.

Laying down the tracks, wagon headed west, ice road up ahead, no time to stop and rest.
Chug'a lug'a lug'a, Chug'a lug'a lew.

Cross the Mississipp' river down below, diamonds in the sky, late night Rocky smoke.

7. "I needed you" is a love forlorn song.

I needed you, where then were you? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I needed you,
where then were you?

All my friends knew, I was so blue. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. All my friends knew I was so blue.

I prayed for you, but you never knew. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I prayed for you,
but you never knew.

Time rushes by, you only hide. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Time rushes by, tears crowd my eyes.

Now that we're through, bid our adieu? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Now that we're through,
bid our adieu?

8. "Joy of life" is a fun song, a little short, but definitely fast and fun.

Joy of life, dancing in the street, festive celebrate, keep that stomping beat.
If you do, life will choose to make you new.

Laugh out loud, eating tangerines, jumping up and down, rolling in the green.
Cry for joy, skipping hand in hand, great big land.

Running through the surf, breaking on the shore, catch me if you can, yours forever more.
If you do, life will choose to make you new.

9. "Peckerwood" is another Delta Blues song motivated by Alan Lomax's book on Delta blues singers, guitars and lyrics.

Southern dog, fall out back, southern dog, crack the shack.
Peckerwood, touch the sun, peckerwood come undone, make some fun, you're my hon.

Drag out drawl, twang and hum, drag out drawl, work day done.
Peckerwood, touch the sun, peckerwood come undone, make some fun, you're my hon.

Bottleneck slide and run, bottleneck number one.
Peckerwood, touch the sun, peckerwood come undone, make some fun, you're my hon.

Sold my soul, "putain" blue. Sold my soul, five foot two.
Peckerwood, touch the sun, peckerwood come undone, make some fun, you're my hon.

10. "Candle is lit" is a sexy love song.

Candle is lit, shadows on your face, gaze into your eyes, loving all your lace..

Your hair hang down, curves all around, your kiss we embrace, going on down.

Your shimmering waist, hips grinding so, oh what a taste, systems all go.

Duka Bay sunrise can't match your eyes, travel miles and miles for your loving smile.

The night close up, the day is done, hours go by like the shimmering sun.

Sleep in your arms, dreams going by, wake up with your charms, daybreak comes along.

11. "Sandman's Lullaby" is a love song about Jeongseon Korea near to Cheongpyeong Korea Winter Olympics with some description of the beautiful landscape.

I saw you in my dream last night, with light beams dancing in a ring,
of fairies, elves, nymphs and kings.
The sandman's lullaby doth bring harmonies on fretted wings that fly with laughter in the spring.
All I want is your true love, raining down from far above. I know its in our hearts to sing,
the truth we know our everything.

I feel you in my arms right now, your aura wraps around somehow. All my ego disappears,
to hear you whisper in my ear, gentle words that reappear as twinklings in your eyes so dear.
Together we just fly away, our magic carpet leads the way, soaring far above the clouds,
our promise is our sacred vow.

When mountains crumble into sand, we open up the promised land,
with rivers flowing to the sea, that's where you come to be with me, underneath the acacia tree,
declare out love forever be, timeless in eternity.

12. "Runaway" is a song about childhood frustration in adult life.

There you go walking away, never come back here to stay.
I'm sitting on the curb, lost my way, without you here I'm a runaway.
Runaway, runaway, runaway.....

Pick up my pack, look around, nobody here in this town.
The sun goes down, I turn around, all I see the mirror me.
Runaway, runaway, runaway.....

Hurt me so, hitting too low, coming on back, I just don't know.
You say you'll stay, then you go, how am I supposed to know?
Runaway, runaway, runaway.....

Middle of the night, I'm all alone, nobody here, I'm on my own.
Thought you here, here to stay, but now you're gone, gone away.
Runaway, runaway, runaway.....
