Album Notes
the melding of a jazz organ combo with funky lounge beats a la CTI records with some SKA and calypso thrown in for good measure... a kinder, gentler Steely Dan vibe with a blues sensibility, a smidgen of Zappa, a nod to the jazz genius, Eddie Harris, and a soprano sax echoing Bechet and Shorter.

best album in the 21st century
these guys are making real music great again. real skilled players playing together live not cow-towing to the mainstream pap that bows to the technological gadgets that have surpassed the the actual craft and art content of music and probably in all other aspects of our society under the umbrella of humanity and culture....not afraid to inject humor, and undisguised political sentiment....while pronouncing lyrical content without an effected appropriated stylistic accent....bravo, beat meters! i can't wait for the next one!!!
