Album Notes
Guitarist Joe Olnick has been writing and performing in the mid-Atlantic area of the US for many years. His albums are instrumentally-based original compositions, with an emphasis on jazz/rock/groove and ambient atmospheres.

Massive funk grooves, rock guitar, abstract ambient, and quiet introspective compositions all reflect the wide-ranging tastes of his influences: Brian Eno, Miles Davis, Nels Cline, and Medeski, Martin & Wood. on the Up All Night album: "A variety of guitar-driven jams featuring Hendrix-ian chordal acoustic guitar, bare-bones wah-Funk and mellow jazz explorations. Olnick's an electronics experimenter as well, exploring Ambient and effected sounds."

Radio airplay for years on many U.S. college/independent and international broadcasters, as well as online.

Tim Olnick

Brilliant songs and musicianshio
A great album by The Joe Olnick Band. Brilliant musicianship by guitarist Joe Olnick, bassist Jamie Aston, and drummer Jamie Smucker, featuring funk, reggae, jazz, and rock. The closing song, "Sports Complex," is an incredibly high-energy thrash rock that will get every listener's blood pumping! Beautifully recorded, engineered, and mastered, and full of well-crafted songs that leave the listener wanting more. Highly recommended!
