ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Joe Olnick Band rocks out with an EP of original instrumental compositions that musically tell the story of Don, the misunderstood iguana that we can all relate to.

Opening up with the funky "Sticky Floor Nightclub", it is clear that this release goes in a new direction for the band. Featuring the powerful bass of Jamie Aston, and the driving grooves of drummer Stew Bradley, guitarist Joe Olnick takes off for the stratosphere and sets the stage.

With "Don's Theme", powerful emotion and orchestrations introduce a protagonist that is always on the outside, looking in.

After additional journeys ("Misadventues in Hi-Fi") and great determination ("Why?"), he gets what he is looking for, culminating in "Hot Rocks". The journey is finally complete, with a satisfying ending full of hope for the future.

Breaking with his previous six albums, Joe Olnick & company continue to explore new areas in modern instrumental music. With original artwork from comic book artist Ron Good, this release reflects the times we live in.

Mastered by Grammy Award-winner Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering/Hollywood.
