ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bassist Joe Policastro's "West Side Story Suite for Jazz Trio" is a fresh, original work inspired by the Bernstein classic. Made up of a working jazz trio featuring guitarist Dan Effland and drummer Adam Sorensen, the suite highlights the interplay of the ensemble while still leaving plenty of solo space for each member of the trio. This homage to Bernstein has all of the intimacy and intricacy of chamber-jazz while still retaining a hard swinging edge. This album is a must for any fan of well-arranged classic jazz guitar trio!
