Album Notes
“Use your mind to be kind, be smart-use your heart, intend to be a friend, then do it all over again…”

Students at Wines Elementary School in Ann Arbor, Michigan have a simple but important message to share with the world: Be kind. Collaborating with singer songwriter Joe Reilly through the Ann Arbor District Library Songsters program, three 4th grade classes worked together to write this song of friendship that reminds listeners of the golden rule, “Treat others how you want to be treated.”

Reilly brought in recording engineer Brian Woodring and musicians John Driscoll, Chris Good, Alice Sun, and Jamie Rusling, to help develop the song and record it as a single, as well as videographer Charlie Steen to produce a music video and help bring it's message to a wider audience. “Spreading kindness and building community through music is part of my purpose in this life,” says Reilly, “Working with creative young people like these students is inspiring and gives me hope to continue in this work. May it water seeds of kindness in our communities and in our society.”
