Innovative and raw!
Stripped Down the CD title tells it like it is. This twelve-track collection features guitar master Joe Richardson on the acoustic and vocals. This is a bare bone blues record. The songs composed by Joe ring with authenticity. Richardson has the ideal voice for singing the blues. His expressive style is deep, organic and soulful. It features Joe's versatile story telling with fine fretwork on a slightly twangy guitar. 'I've Got One Twing' is a song about being lonely but the whistling overlaid with the guitar is almost cheerful. An interesting juxtapose of ideas. 'Killin Ground' is startling from the very first chord to the last combined with Joe's bluesy vocals. Stripped Down is innovative in its basic format
