Album Notes
"New, talented, soulful Americana" - Clive Richardson, Solar Radio.

This album is a storm of emotions, centred around the year in which Joey's life was turned upside down, following the British Governments decision to decline her visa and preventing her reunion with husband, Peter, in the UK. This collection of songs are written about - or should have been released in - _The Year That Never Happened._

Recorded at the Big Smoke Studios in North Wembley, London, this is Joey's debut as a producer, having worked alongside co-producer and engineer Ryan John Griffiths to bring a small collection of new works to life. From the acoustic vulnerability of “These Days”, a song written the morning after her visa was declined, through to the cinematic and uplifting journey of “We Found Faith”, _The Year That Never Happened_ is an album that offers a raw, honest and poignant look at the stages of acceptance following a life-altering and unexpected change. In many ways, the production of this album was a therapeutic venture for Joey and Peter – the final step of letting go.
